Lockley becomes new Director of Test and Evaluation

On April 4, AVIAN welcomed U.S. Navy Cmdr. (ret.) Wayne Lockley, as its new Director for Test and Evaluation | Flight Support.

Wayne joined AVIAN in June of 2020 as a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Senior Systems Engineer.

In his new role, Wayne will focus on business operations, customer satisfaction, and marketing strategies in support of AVIAN’s growth strategy. He will manage and oversee work performed on AVIAN’s Test & Evaluation Management for Programs and Operations (TEMPO) contract, which employs over 60 AVIAN employees and over 20 employees from its various subcontractor partners, as well as several other subcontracts for AVIAN's T&E sector. 

Wayne has more than 20 years of distinguished service in the U.S. Navy as an officer and aviator of the A-6E, and F/A-18 aircraft. He has extensive technical expertise in systems engineering and test, training in program management and risk management, and holds a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering.

Prior to joining AVIAN, he served as Director of Safety and Security, and Director of Engineering and Acquisition a government contractor and a commercial aircraft management company.

Wayne is a native of Baltimore, Maryland, and has lived throughout the U.S. and Cuba. He has a passion for aviation and has been a pilot in the service and commercially for over forty years. His passions outside of work include flying a Cirrus SR-22, reading, and traveling.
