Test Planning and Execution
AVIAN performs test planning, execution, analysis, reporting, and correction of deficiencies tracking for U.S. Military aircraft, weapon systems, subsystems, and training devices.
We are experts in Capabilities-Based T&E, System-of-Systems T&E, Design of Experiments, and Live-Virtual-Constructive testing
Our testers develop program Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs), test documentation, and briefing materials in support of program requirements and technical reviews; and develop and manage test schedules, budgets, metrics, and test program execution tracking.
UAS Test Flight
AVIAN's UAS Test personnel include Group 1-5 UAS Flight Coordinators, Air Vehicle Operators, Mission Payload Operators, Flight Test Engineers, and Flight Test Technicians.
- Test planning and execution
- Data collection and reporting for UAV ground handling and flying qualities
- Performance, weapon systems, and sensor packages for both ashore and afloat
- Ground Control Station hardware and software management and test
Counter Threat Solutions
AVIAN's Counter-Threat Solutions team offers cutting-edge solutions to protect people and critical infrastructure worldwide from emerging or evolving technologies by identifying credible threats.
AVIAN’s team is comprised of highly skilled counter-threat experts with prior military, special forces, law enforcement, intelligence, and national security experience.
Our instructors understand the value of countermeasures and a comprehensive understanding of critical responses to complex hybrid threats.
We develop training material and curriculum to meet your needs ranging from management overviews to full tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) and execution for security personnel including field exercises.
Tactics and Training
- Field Tactics, Exercises, and Demonstrations
- Scenario-based training
- Unmanned system(s) demonstrations
- Classroom Instruction
- eLearning
- Virtual Reality enhanced training
AVIAN is currently the sole source provider through New Mexico Tech (NMT) for counter unmanned (C-UAS) training to first responders and emergency management personnel from around the country on behalf of the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium (NDPC).
In collaboration with NMT and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), AVIAN provides courseware development and instruction.
NMT works in partnership with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) through a cooperative agreement to provide training geared toward preparing emergency first responders to better prevent and respond to terrorist incidents.
We offer DHS/FEMA-certified in-person and virtual courses designed to provide awareness of the unmanned aircraft threat, the legalities of using both drones and counter-drone technology, and an introductory framework of tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP’s) to assist first responders and emergency management professionals to develop an organized and practiced response to malicious and negligent drones operating within their areas of responsibility.
The 3-day resident course taught at NMT’s Energetic Materials Research and Testing Center includes both classroom instruction and field training exercises with live explosive detonations. Shortened executive and mobile courses are also offered.
