Quality Assessments lead to sustained success at FRC East

LEXINGTON PARK, Md. – Quality. Consistency. Customization. These words describe our approach to Quality Management at AVIAN and with our customers.  

In fact, we believe quality is so important that we developed an assessment tool to evaluate the maturity level of various quality management systems (QMS).  

Recently, John Blankensop, an AVIAN Product Quality Engineer, worked on-site with the Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) East Standards Division Team at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, evaluating the maturity level of their QMS.  

This assessment was conducted in collaboration with the Commander, Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC) Quality Group, and the FRC East Quality Standards Team.  

Using this assessment tool, FRC East could objectively determine the current state maturity level of their QMS and create a road map for realizing “Big Q” quality management maturity improvements. These improvements will enable their QMS to achieve further sustained success by delivering performance outcomes that support the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) North Star Value Driver metrics for capability, availability, and affordability.  

As if the assessment wasn't enough excitement, John was invited to participate in Hawaiian Shirt Friday and embraced as part of the team.
